so now that USC is a solid #2 in the BCS, how many college football fans are screaming that USC is overrated?

there's still one more week of football to go. does USC have what it takes to beat ucla and make it to the national championship game for the 3rd straight year?

USC is not overrated. they beat Oregon, Cal and Notre Dame convincingly. The trojans look like a good football team and deserving to play for the national championship if they beat UCLA.

Just a great football program!

I answer this question with caution, since I had given my opinion to a question earlier regarding USC, and I think that Yahoo is a USC fan.

In my totally biased opinion, I think that Ohio State and Michigan should be playing for the national title. You say, 'why should they play again, they already played?' I say that the two best teams in the country should play for the national title every year, and Ohio State and Michigan are the two best teams in the country this year, regardless of their rankings; BCS, AP, Harris,etc.....

Texas has lost, twice...Auburn has lost, twice...Florida has lost, to Auburn and had more than a few unimpressive wins against MUCH lesser competition...USC has lost, to Oregon State (very unranked, all year, all polls)....Arkansas has lost, twice, to USC ( B I G ) and to LSU..... ND has lost twice, very.... V E R Y.... B I G to Michigan.....in South Bend and to USC ....Rutgers, West Virginia, Louisville and Boise State .....I shouldn't even have to mention......

Bottom line, Michigan lost to Ohio State, who has been # 1 all year (including the preseason) at OSU, by 3 points.....if that doesn't merit a rematch ( on a neutral field ), then you are a fan whose team is trying to get into the national title game, or, you just don't want to see the best two teams play for the national title.

I won't fault anyone, ever, for being a fan of their team, I never have. If you have a favorite team you should defend them, always, but, if your team isn't one of the two best teams in the country, then you should be happy that the two best teams in the country are playing for the national title.....

PLEASE, don't root (or RANK) against a team just because you don't like them. As fan of college football you should always want to see the two best teams in the country play for the national title, each, and every year. That is what the BCS was created for, to end the arguing amongst all fans throughout the country, and crown a true national champion.

At the end of it all, USC's or Michigan's worst scenario is playing in the Rose Bowl, in my opinion the greatest of all bowls (also it was the first ever bowl game....Jan. 1,1902 Michigan 49 - Stanford 0)
So I'm not complaining that Michigan might not make the BCS NC game, I'm saying, simply, that the two best teams in the country should play for the national title....every year.

They're not overrated, and as you said they could go to the national championship game for the 3rd straight year. Any team that does that will get attention. They wil beat UCLA, and make the BCS national championship. I think that Michigan deserves it, and I'm rooting for them, because although I like Pete Caroll, and USC, they're in it every year.
