If someone rejected you out of fear, but wanted a second chance, would you give it to them, even though they broke your heart?

2nd chances are a scary thing...I've found...through experience...they usually don't work out. But everybody is different and people do change...so if you feel really strongly about them...why not.

If this is a situation where they are saying they cheated on you out of fear of getting into the relationship too deep etc., then no, they don't get a second chance because that's a bunch of crap. If they didn't date you because they were afraid their parents would object because you are of a different ethnicity/religion/etc. then yes I would give them a second chance. So basically, it depends.

I suppose it would matter more HOW they broke my heart, not that they did it. "FEAR??" Sounds like a line to me. "Rejected??" Were you going with this person? So many variables, so little information. In general, 2nd chances are fine. But, if it is an old affair you want to resurrect, don't bet that it will be considerably different this round...people may change, but they don' t change that much.

If I liked them enough I would. But you gotta think about it from YOUR heart and think about if you could possibly take that pain again if it happens.

Do it. It's better to give it another shot than go the rest of your life wondering.

Yes, I would give the second chance.

Put yourself in their shoes, see how they might be feeling.
