I WOULD have said NO BUT then it happened to me, I was very sick for a long time and didn't have a period for almost 3 years..I got pregnant, and didn't know till i was almost 5 months, because I had no symptoms...so yes it can definatly happen..no period doesn't mean you are not ovulating, can be a sign of malnurishment like with anorexia or bulemia... BUT to answer your question..absolutly YES!

Yes, a woman who hasn't had her period in six months can still get pregnant, but she has to ovulate. Since that would occur 12-16 days before any period would start, if she has unprotected sex at that fertile time a pregnancy could result. If she didn't get pregnant, she would just finally get her period. On the other hand, if she's annovulatory, she will not concieve.

After six months I'd almost say she could be pregnant already.

You'd see that by then, though, unless the woman in question weighs 600 pounds.

Umm, you shed the blood lining of the uterus after you ovulate, when the body finds that no fertilized egg has attached to it. It is possible that you just are not ovulating, however it could be that there's a hormonal issue or something, being a problem where you ARE ovulating but the blood hasn't been recycled yet.. in that case you should see a doctor.

There is a problem in not having a period for 6 months As far as pregnancy, anything is possible. It is possible that this person is already pregnant. Most importantly, this person needs to see her ob/gyn ASAP!

the ovulating part is probably right, but miracles happen. I would call your doctor and just see if he or she will talk to you over the phone. Maybe that will help. Webmd.com might have some good information.
