Whenever i log on with my user name/password on my laptop it loads the wallpaper, then says something similar to "explorer.exe failed to start because normaliz.dll was not found. Reinstalling this application may allow the system to work" (not exact but similar wording). Now, I copied the file normaliz.dll from my other computer to a flash drive. Is there a way where I can add the file to the computer? Remember no icons load, no start bar, no nothing. I just have access to the cmd prompt and task manager, both of which don't work when i attempt to open something.

Of course, if you go to Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools, you'll see the restore there also (lot easier).... I'd recommen that too.... That's the first thing I'd try.

Try a system restore

%SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe, if you run this command, it will bring you to the interface for system restore
