Not Yet...........

Of course, I am a huge Bears fan.

I would put Barry Sanders right there at 1 A ....if not the best ever.
He played the game with as much respect and dignity as Walter did.
Emmit Smith, while a great running back (and evidently a good dancer) and deserving to be mentioned as one of the best, is not in the top 3-4.

1. Walter Payton
1-A. Barry Sanders
2. Jim Brown
3. Gayle Sayers
4. Earl Campbell
5. O.J. Simpson JERK - OFF

Let the hateful arguments begin............

Time will tell with all of these 'new' guys. Please.... lets wait to see if they will be the "next" Payton, Brown, Sanders....

I would like to see more of the respect that La Dainian Tomlinson displays from more of his colleagues these days.

If a running back today shows me that he would rather hit a potential tackler (like Walter Payton did), than go out of bounds unless time is a factor, then we will talk about who may be worthy of mention with these giants..........

Oh, to have seen what Gayle Sayers and Bo Jackson could have done if they could have stayed healthy.....

In a couple more years, definitly. He might be better than sanders when LT's career's over. PAYTON Was really good. It's hard to compare him with him or Sanders.Don't forget, Sanders probably would have broke Paytons rushing record if he didn't retire at such a young age.LT Will be in that class in a few more years. Don't get me wrong LT might be the best player in the game not counting Peyton Manning. LT is awesome at such a young age.

Barry Sanders is the terrific ever. The Detroit line became into poor throughout the time of his tenure there. They endured to draft QB's Rodney Peete, Andre Ware, and others, and no you may make something take place. It became into basically remarkable gazing Lions video games while Barry became into enjoying. The hushed anticipation everytime the ball became into snapped became into surreal. each and every physique became into basically waiting for Barry to get the ball. It additionally speaks so noticeably of his character that he did no longer 'act a fool' while he scored, or made somebody look stupid. He basically surpassed the ball to the refs. i'm no longer taking something from Payton, or LT, or Jim Brown, yet no person ever did greater with below Barry Sanders did. Emmitt Smith is a joke. He has been a commentator long adequate to be waiting to graciously deflect such an defective fact, each and every time somebody calls him the terrific ever. This guy remains utilising incorrect ghetto slang in commentaries, like: mines while implying possession, and that they while he's implying somebody elses possession. occasion: 'They protection struggles against the pass', 'This Dallas line jogs my memory of mines in 1991'...
