I have one child and am pregnant again and my first wasn't a csection and this one certainly isnt planned as such. My sister-in-law is pregnant with her third and going to have to schedule a csection. They told her she can safely have four of them. I think it depends on the doctor because I know of some women who are told one three are safe to do.

As many as needed if some one wants 5 children and needs a cesarean for all five births there is nothing the doctors can do to stop that.

Ethel Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy's wife had nine children. I believe all were born by c-sections-- --something you could research. Whether it was her doctor's idea that she have that many c-sections is another question!!! I have known someone that had four. Still, the number of c-sections I have always heard that was recommended if you are healthy is three. I had two and quit there by choice.

It really depends I think on the woman how well she heals and the policy of the hospital, b/c with every c-section you have the Dr has to cut through all that scar tissue which would make it more difficult and harder to heal.. I had to have a c-section with my son and it was just horrible, I can't see how women actually want to have another c-section. But that's just my opinion..

A woman I know has had 4 but she was told that she will not be allowed another and should be sterilised. She took the advice. Some places are not happy with more than 3...it varies from one hospital to another....;

I know one mother of 7 who had a cesarean each time. If you're healthy, I'm not certain there is a limit.

chances are if you already had one c section then your doctor will want you to keep having them so the answer is however many kids you want to have.

It depends on the reasons for the c-sections, the type of incision used and how well you heal from the previous c-sections. Ask your doctor.
