God created man, it is just when man does not hear from Him that he imagines to create an image fitting his ability to understand God. It is not until the truth of God comes upon man when he then is capable of truly understanding. There is a God who can and will choose to whom He makes His presence known and there is no other power able to do so.

If you go by the creationist theory then God created man. If you do not believe in that theory then Man created God in order to have something to believe in and to explain their own presence on Earth.

I used to believe that God created man...I still do, but there is a part of me where man did create God...wow...you've made me wonder now.

I believe man created God.
Because isn't it a coincidence that if there were a God, we somehow know about him? And don't tell me it is because of Jesus, because people believed in God before that.
Besides, there are different types of Gods, and not all of them can be true.
So, man created God, or what he thinks to be God.

Primitive barbarians, using CAVE MAN logic, created the idea of a supernatural entity to keep the people in line and to explain the unknown. Modern day man, uses his cerebral cortex (a recent athropoligical development) to think rationally and logically. Unfortunately, obsolete genes do not die overnight, therefore we'll be seeing the creationist worldview for some time to come.
