you can try be changeing the resolution on your computer or by chaning your monitor i remember that happen to me once.

not sure what you mean by rippling, if you mean icons and letters in word are blurry etc it could be your connection leads. Ensure your leads between your monitor and computer are tightly in place,

if its an lcd try auto adjusting the display out of the menu buttons on the tft itself not out of windows, if not reload the driver.

is there a router beside it with an aerial? if so try moving it further from the monitor.

I had to replace the monitor when that happened to me.
