Both Political parties like to investigate the other, if they can fin information detrimental to the opposite party they believe it will give them an advantage in the next election. An investigation in Washington D.C. has nothing to do with the rule of law, it is solely intended to gain political advantage.

Because the Bush administration has been the most secretive our country has ever known, to see if there was misconduct in issues like Energy policy, manipulation of intelligence to justify Iraq, No bid contracts going to Cheney's former company Haliburton etc etc etc
