Oh, those pesky rights like no discrimination in the workplace; domestic partnerships having the same legal rights as marriages concerning inheritance, hospital visits, etc.; the right not to be beaten up on the street for being who they are.

The only rights that i feel are special, is the lack of rights that are special, and those are few and far between. However i know that is not the answer you are looking for so i will expand on my thought processes, The right to give birth as often as they can, the right to pursue their lifestyle although some people believe it is an abomination, and the right to contract the aids virus at will.

Homosexuals are not covered under the Civil Rights Acts, that cover minorities and women. Adding this coverage for gays is what righties mistakenly call "special rights" They are being inaccurate.

There are certain benefits such as tax breaks and worker benefits which are not available to unmarried couples. Pusuit of happiness does not include changing the rules to accomodate any one group.
I say if two consenting adults are happy with their lives together, why ruin it with marriage?

Sorry, you have the wrong party. The Democrats are the ones who seek special Rights for Homosexuals. They are a voting block the Democrats are seeking. First they went for the black vote then the gay vote & now the Hispanic vote ( legal or illegal). I think the group they will be going after next are the prisoners at Guamtomano.

Anytime a new protected class is developed, we speak of creating "special rights."
Currently, race, religion, disabled, and to a lesser extent, women are protected classes.
We believe the current rights afforded to all Americans are sufficient.

I have no idea what they mean by 'special rights' but I can only imagine. The lifestyle is a free choice.
