I am 18 weeks pregnant and have been waiting to feel the "flutters" . I was laying down earlier and thought I felt movement, but not like everyone is describing as flutters and bubbles popping etc..., but just like something moving around. Do you have to feel the flutters before actual movement, or could I just have never realized them before?

I had them but they just felt like my stomach was gurgling. I didn't actually realize it was them until she started really moving around. This was at about 5 and a half months. With your first, they say that it is harder to tell.

Well I think you are feeling is the baby moving... It's described in many ways and what other people describe it as might be different to you.. I didn't understand the fluttering either.. It felt like a light poke or jab to me or a bump or nudge.. Everyone can describe it different.. I'm pregnant with my 3rd and i felt him move at 17weeks... The 1st I felt move at 17weeks too and then the 2nd I felt move at 16weeks... Just remember every ones different.... Good luck and God bless!!

honestly...everyone told me the same thing and I kept waiting and trying to feel them and all...but never could..it felt like something was moving but not flutters or anything really out of the norm...then all of a sudden at about 22 weeks my baby woke up and moves all the time now...(she is my first baby..soo I didnt know what to expect) but once your baby decides to really move..there is no doubt about if it was him-her or if it was just your stomach..you know...so just chill lol..some women dont feel there babies up to 28 weeks.

I'm 18 weeks also and my baby moves alot you just have to pay attention to it. I was layin on my back the other nite and felt it kick for the first time. It wasn't strong but I knew what it was because it has never happened before. Try layin on your back as much as possible and you will feel these things. I feel it when it gets in a corner or ball up in the bottom of my stomach just pay attention to it when you feel it you will know trust me.

You could have never realized them before. Or you could have thought it was digestion or gas. Enjoy feeling your little one move. It is the baby's way of saying "Hello mommy!!!" Congrats!
