Anythings possible. But, it's more likely that we invented it on our own. Mainly because computers have a fairly traceable technological evolution. They started simply and have become progressively better over the years.

I would say no. The transistor technology that helped propel computer technology to where it is today, was invented in the late 1940's by Bell labs. So it is simply a logical progression in time and technology to what we have today. Computers really took off in the very early 1980's with the introduction of the Apple computer.

I've heard that as well. I think they said that's where the micro-chip came from . Here's the thing though, If we stole ideas from an advanced civilization, I think our computers would be far more advanced than they are right now. Who knows though, anything's possible.
