I am religious and i pray to god everyday to help me. what is his answer? my last two biology tests i get 69 on each and i screwed up my other courses as well. I don't know whats wrong with me. i feel like a failure and i want to just give up. i feel that there is no purpose in life and everything i want in life i cant get because i am a failure. what should I do?

Keep trying the worst thing you can do is give up. Remember there are very many other people out there without as much as a chance to attend college. Try to get into tutoring, or seek assistance from a fellow student, family member, etc. who is willing to help you study harder. You can also take time out from school if you need a break (i don't know how long you've been in school but it can become tough over time). Take time out for yourself to relax. It is important to still have a good time every once in awhile.

You said you pray..so keep praying but don't demand things from God if it is his will to help you then he will. You have to be willing to meet him half way though...you can't rely entirely on God. Ask a friend that you trust or talk to your minister at church. Think if there's anything going on in your life that could be making your mind get off track. Try talking to your parents they raised you so I grantee they know what your going through and how to help. There is Hope and there always will be you just have to search for it deep enough and truly believe that you can find it. God will send you a message how soon I can't say but you'll know the answer eventually. Keep trying and never give up, if you do you'll go the rest of your life regretting it.

Well I truely wish I could give the "perfect" answer to you. That's the thing about life though , nothing is... "perfect" . Sometimes even your high expectations of yourself turn out less then perfect. One thing that is a constant is change and in my life I honestly believe when I feel my down and out worst I know soon this feeling too will change. The best advice I could give , is to really look inside yourself and do some soul serching. Maybe your expecting to much of yourself at this time in your life? Maybe theres things going on that have gotten your mind off the things you want most. Maybe your stress levels of wanting it soo much have clouded yourself into not being able to retain the knowlege your learning? Maybe its just time for a simple break because your pushing yourself to hard? I know 1 thing if it is your dream , then keep on believing and when the going gets tough. KEEP GOING. I hope somehow this helps you somewhere you can find your way. Im sure you deserve your dreams *smile*

You've got some philosophical contradictions to clear up first.
Example:

You say you are religious and pray to god (you weren't too specific here though) but you feel there is no purpose in life.

Why are you getting lousy grades? If, for example, you have poor study habits (probably had it easy in high school and now college is a bit different) what are you doing about that? Many schools have resource centers available to help you in that respect or form study groups with classmates. Find the root problem and solve it.

The answer is to get down and study more, get help with it if you need too.It will not be easy but something as great as being a Doctor and full-filling your dream to be a great one will make it all worthwhile. You are not a failure, the world needs people like you,
keep plodding on you will get there eventuality, take time off to enjoy your life and relax in between the study.

Make yourself calm down in peace first.

Failure in life is very common, but it doens't mean you won't reach your goal, it's a matter of time and effort.

I have failed an important exam 3 times, and will take it next year for the 4 time, since the exam is held once in a year, I still keep doing it.

let me give you a real case that I saw, my friend's father, who failed accountant exam (CPA exam) 6 times (6 years) and finally passed about 20 years ago, today, he is the Director of some financial holding company and is very wealthy and powerful.

This case gives me a very deep meaning, life is the whole picture, you are experiencing one piece in life, you have not seen the whole thing yet. So, Don't give up your dream, test or exam is really about how much effort you make, if you can't make it in once time, make it 6 times..........you will.

Sometimes god will push you down. But its only to teach you to get up....on your own. Being a Doctor is a tough job. It is my belief that he is trying to make you stronger.Acept the set back as a blessing.

Baby's dont walk the day they are born for this very reason.Ever notice how proud they are when they finely after falling so many times befor they finely do it on there own!

You will make a fine Doctor because you care.

You are your best resource. Support yourself. You will ALWAYS do the best you can...you can't help it. Set your goal. Measure everything by whether it contributes to that goal. Permit fun. Screw guilt. Remember, you only believe you've made a mistake when you discover new information. If you knew the new info you would have acted differently in the first place. So, you never make mistakes. And you will always make the right choice. Believe it. Try it. Live it.

If your study habits are not up to pare.
Why would anyone want you as their Doctor?

Learning is not over after college. If your poor study habits carry over to your practice, (if you do get one), They will show and more than likely your patience's will receive substandard service.

You need to study more it appears, God cannot help you with something you don't know? That's why He gave you a brain.

The Bible says; to study, to show yourself approved
