The people who say no to this question are double-lying. They're lying about lying! Woah...

Of course I lie.

Everyone lies. They say they don't, but they're lying.

And even if there is someone who has never, ever lied, chances are, nobody likes them. Because there are sometimes when it's polite to lie. For example, guys, you should know this. Your wife asks you if her pants make her look fat. You think they do. Do you tell her that?

Well, you shouldn't.

Your best friend asks what you thought of her creative writing story. You think it wasn't that great. Do you tell her?

Again, bad idea.

I was going to say I lie down (in bed) but someone else was already clever enough to say that! :)

The truth is that I will lie (be dishonest) occasionally but only in these instances (& always to spare someone's feelings):

When asked: "Do you think I'm fat?" (& she is...) I have to answer no.
"Isn't he/she adorable?" (& their baby/child is hideous) I have to answer yes.

I will only lie if the truth is too unkind, but I try not to do it otherwise because I have a guilty conscience & it doesn't let me away with much.

I can't remember the last time I lied it's been quite a long time. I tend to be too honest about some things (like myself and my feelings!) I probably should be a bit more mysterious or self-protective in some ways...

Yes, I lie. I lie when I feel like it. The last time I lied, some really dorky guy axed me to homecoming, and I lied to him and told him that I already had a date. I didn't, and I wound up going with my neighbor (which wasn't so bad, cuz my neighbor's fricken hot)

Yes, I do lie. But mostly their whit lies. Why? Not to make myself that to vulnerable and sometimes not to hurt somebody, mostly someone I love or like. Last time I lied was tonight I think.

I have learned to be quiet and then (those who know me) if one is persistent, they will receive just enough of the truth to get them back on track without devastating them.
