Both. Keep AVG on automatically as an on-access scanner, and AVAST on-demand, meaning it only scans when you decide it too. That way you're more likely to get no viruses. But if you don't want those programs to take up space, just take AVG.

i don't think of it concerns which you employ, while you're using the unfastened variations. I even have used AVG for some years, and it variety of feels to have labored nicely. yet ComputerActive magazine says Avast is in basic terms as solid. yet, you may replace them the two on a universal foundation. I additionally use Malwarebytes. at present, whether, I appeared to get a pandemic, a style of which insists you have a pandemic, so which you may get carry of me to do away with me !!! Yeah, precise ! on the advice of a working laptop or pc geek, I downloaded the unfastened version of Superantispyware, and this appeared to do away with it. Neither AVG nor Malwarebytes affected it in any respect. solid success with despite you pick.

AVG is not free any more, so choose Avast. I've had it for the last 4 years, and it's the very best!! Not a single virus has gone thru in all this time. It's caught a few, though!!!

Get it here: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

Personally i think AVG is the best as far as a free anti-virus program, just go to www.grisoft.com and follow the instrustions, it's easy to download, and to me does the best job of updating and detecting a virus.

Personally, I enjoy AVG.

It can automatically update, and it's thorough-- even though having more than one antivirus program is always a good thing.
