a flight of dragons, a weyr of dragons, or a wing of dragons

I recommend a flight. Though to be honest it depends on the dragons you're using. If they are typical western dragons a group of dragons would be a cemetery since they are very territorial and concerned with their hoards and would likely kill each other or keep their distance. The other possibility would be young dragons that haven't reached their full growth or at least a large enough size to be independent. On the other hand if you have them work as a collective you could call them a swarm or a hive. will they run into a murder of giant crows?

A dragoon.

Okay, now that I have the smarty-pants answer out of my system:

Google search: dragon group

That didn't help.

Google search: dragon herd

That didn't help either.

Google search: dragon

Wikipedia says that the term dragoon is in fact derived from the same source as the word dragon.

A group of Dragons is referred to as a "Clan". This was due to the fact that Dragons were believed to be sentient creatures, thus if they travelled together it was because they chose to be a part of that clan for more reasons than just being in a group.

A group of dragons flying together in formation is called "a flight"

On Pern it would be called a Weyr.

Here on Earth I'd call it a hurricane of Dragons.

I'd vote for "A Denomination of Dragons".

It's not webster-level-official, but the Inheritance series of fiction books (Eragon, etc.) used the term THUNDER.

A thunder of dragons.

Fitting and well deserved, if you ask me. :)

I think it's a flight of dragons... but don't quote me on that.
