Only a selected few XBOX games work with XBOX 360.The updated list is on the source.

Note:You need to have a hard-drive.

Some of them do but you have to have the XBox 360 with the hard drive

All those people who said XBX games can be played on the 360 is absolutely wrong!!!!!!! It's a half-truth. Some can, most can't.

The people who gave you a link to the BC list is right. Go to that site and see what XBX games you can play on the 360. You do need a hard drive to download the software emu that makes those XBX games work on the 360.

You do not need X-Box Live to download the patch to play XBX games. You can download the patch to your computer, copy it to a cd and load it on the 360 to get the latest patch. You can also ask MS to send you the latest patch on a CD via snail mail. But since you already have internet access, you can just download it to your computer. And since you already have a 360, just use XBL unless you don't have high speed internet access.
