I don't personally like it. Everyone would refer to the person as Rocky, and if he is no Rocky than it could be worse, like a Rocky wanna be. Kids can be cruel. so think before you stick a name on a child. I worked at a company where one of the salesmans name was Richard Head. How cruel was that?? His parents must have been drunk or some serious pranksters.

The name Sylvester should be reserved for bad actors and cartoon cats. Parents shouldn't do this to a child.

Hi Alli,

While Sylvester is a nice name
it carries too much baggage with
it, Sylvester the cat, and Sylvester
'Sly' Stallone, so I would vote no,
as it will most certainly impede the
person in many ways!

Sly is associated with a negative word. If someone's Sly they're sneaky? I wouldn't want that associated with me. I'd go with something simpler and with a nicer meaning.

See, it reminds me too much of Sylvester the cat from Looney Tunes. But, that's just me. Ultimately it's your decision...but you asked what I thought...and there ya have it.

Not really, because people will think of either Rocky or a cat. But that is just my opinion so it does not matter. Go with your heart.
