As, in, which is the greater mind- the Einsteins, Newtons, and Edisons, or the Goethes, Tolstoys and Mozarts?

Edison was a poor choice for a scientist. I shouldn't have picked him, because he was an inventor and in my eyes a mix of science and arts. Scratch Edison as a scientist.

Musicians And Writers

Someone could learn science and math problems if they actually practiced, its not like you were born knowing how to solve complicated problems, but music and writers have a special gift that only a few people are lucky to be born with. They see something in the world that average people don't see and are able to capture what they see into beautiful works of art, poetry, stories, etc.

How to compare? Both are equally as brilliant. If you asked Einstein to compose a symphony, i'm sure he'd tell you that was purely beyond his realm of talent. If you asked Mozart to contemplate and explain the theory or relativity to you, he'd probably ask you the relativity of what? The fact that neither could produce the opposite persons achievements doesn't mean either one is less brilliant. Each person has his strengths and weaknesses.

I think mathematicians and scientists are more brilliant because I am a scientist and obviously biased. I think Edison had the greater mind because he thought and made his thoughts into creations.

Ouch You make me head hurtz!
Can we really do without Tolstoy's illumination of humanity?
Or Mozart's iteration of the soul?
Or the inroad Einstein and Newton made on our understanding of the universe we inhabit?
And what about Nicole Richie's lessons on the dangers of being a buttwipe?

One cannot say that one type is more brilliant than another, in earlier periods people like Leonardo Da Vinci were talented both in science and the arts.

People who are gifted in different areas often have vastly different ways of thinking and learning. It's like saying which is more beautiful - a buttercup or a rose? They are both beautiful - we are lucky to have both buttercups and roses and both Einsteins and Mozarts.

I don't know wich are more brilliant, but I can surely say that all that brain power applied to inventions that make the life easier and more comfortable benefits more people than brain power applied to the arts.

They are probably just as great as they are equally as popular in their separate worlds

in science class we look up to einstein

in music class we look up to Mozart

I guess it all depends on what "class" your in
