I have brand new Dell Inspiron with DSL, when I use internet after about 20 min it just locks up and I have to turn it off.After I turn it on it works fine then locks again.What is the deal.Thanks

Try hitting Ctrl+Alt Del and checking your system resources. Select tasklist and look at your Processes Tab then look at what is using the most CPU. If you can see something rising to the top ie.90+% then that could be the cause.
Another reason could be that something is overheating and could be taking 20minutes to reach lockup.
Also try switching off yer firewall temporarily. Software such as Norton can be quite sore on your pc. I had this happen on a laptop recently and switched to mcAfee and problem resolved. Lockups however in this instance where for 3-4 sec then ok for 10 or so then lock up again.

Run chkdsk from the property of c:drive.

your wireless card or your router are probably not configured right and they are having a conflict
