if you have a chance to get a definate girl go for the girl, i dont really see a differance in the 2 genders if they are kept alone and handled right often, they are both gentle and make great pets. but if you decide later to breed your dragon it is much easier and cheaper to get a male later. they are omnivoures meaning they eat both vegitable and animal protein. they eat romaine lettuce not iceburgh, kale, collards mustard greens yellow squash no spinach- contrary to what alot of people think spinach does have a high calcium content but also has a chemicle compound that will inhibit the absorbtion of calcium in reptiles. as far as a staple diet for meat crickets-, mealworms only when at least 6 months old they have a hard shell that in large quantities is undigestable, cockroaches are very good imo better than crickets, and occaisianally and only occaisianally pinkie mice only after a year old to make shure your dragon is big enough not to choke on them. bearded dragon have a very high probability to get impacted from eating food that is too large for them, just because they can get it down dont mean they should have. baby beardys i recomend putting on astro turf, cage carpet or paper towls. dont use sand when they are young they can get impacted and die from ingestion. bearded dragons test the ground out b4 they walk on it with there tongue and can eat sand without being fed in the tank. also i hope you are doing your research on the proper equipment to get as far as uvb lighting cage size requirements and everything else. uvb is extremely important this is not something you can skip with a bearded dragon.

i have a girl and with girls, they grow a little larger than males. they can eat pinkies but only when they are at least 5-6 months and if you are gonna feed it a pinkie make sure its frozen, a live mouse will eat at the dragon if she doesnt go after it, same thing happens with snakes. they are amazing pets and i have had many.

It deosnt really matter. I personally have boy and he is quite active. but if you are mpalnning on getting more than 1 DO NOT get 2 boys because they will end up fighting each other to death. If you want 2 i would get 2 females or if you want to breed, 1 male and 1 female

do a search for for dragon names on google, there are plenty there, I named my Erroyl, Dandelyon, Brutus, Mr. Tude, Cleopatra and Mr. Jingles. %. out something particular about him and bypass from there. Ex. Mr. Tude became Spike till he better an attitude going through his first shed, Brutus is gigantic and husky, Cleopatra is his pal, Erroyl we purely loved, Dandelyon because she will be able to bounce a foot to get frest dandelions and Mr. Jingles got here to me at Christmas time. reliable luck and performance exciting with it. Make it particular to you and him.

Girls tend to be more docile, but males can exhibit brighter colours. Frankly, I don't think it matters too much.
Yes, they can eat pinky mice, but it's not necessary to feed them pinkies.

I would say get a girl, they tend to me nicer, males have a tendency to get not mean but ansy if they dont have a mate. I would definately not feed my beardie any mice. Mice carry diseases and you dont want your beardie to get sick, vet bills can get pricy for sick beardies. greens and veggies and crickets or superworms.

Females are usually more docile, and it depends on thier size. If you think it can, {as much as it pains me to say it as I love pinkies} try it.
