I have a friend that is only 5 feet tall. People at the movies will not let her in to PG-13 movies. But she is 14. How can she look 14 and get into the movies? Also her parents won't be there.

I don't know short of perhaps taking a copy of her birth certificate along with you guys and shoving it in their faces as proof?

Shorty needs a state issued ID card that can be bought at any Department of Transportation Office--the same place you get a driver's license. Just tell her to take her birth certificate and social security card. They are about $10 or $15.

It depends on what she looks like, not just her height. There is a girl with a locker next to mine, and she's 13 and 4'11'' and looks 19 because she is developed. And there is another girl who is 4'11'' and looks like a third grader, because she is as flat as one. Maybe have her carry her student ID, or wear a hoodie or something over her shirt, because it might hide her chest which would be a deciding factor. Also, maybe have her hair down, because that would take away attention from her face, which might also disguise her age.
but good luck.

If this is a big problem, tell her to go to the DMV. The DMV makes ID cards, which she can use to prove to the people at the movie theatre that she is old enough.

I used to have the same problem when i was young. To overcome this I used to carry a copy of my birth certificate in my purse and my student ID at all times.

Just bring an ID, they can't tell her that she can't see a PG13 movie if she is over 13
