Well when someone is lazy, they analyze the action. They value it upon worth. Is the action worth the effort put into it. If the action isnt worth it then they wont do it. People often see this as lazyness when actions are avoided which normal people do. Providing motivation might help however they need to see that the effect is well worth the effort.

Lazy means different things to different people, but yes, I do think that a lack of motivation is part of it.

Someone looking at the unmotivated may perceive them as lazy. Maybe laziness isn't about how we ourselves feel at all and it's what someone else looking at us would say was lazy.

"averse or disinclined to work, activity, or exertion; indolent"
Thats the definition of lazy in a dictionary but I'm thinking someone who was unmotivated would feel the same way without necessarily seeing themselves as lazy.

I wish I hadnt even started thinking about it now.........I can't be arsed!!

Karma.

yes, that's absolutely what it means. a person who is not highly motivated, does not do the things necessary to be productive. and that's what lazy means. although lazy has a worse connotation doesnt it?
