Go to www.paypal.com and read. Paypal is a legit operation, and they will not cheat you, but if you ever get an e-mail supposedly from paypal, do not trust it.

If you are going to pack and ship merchandise yourself, go to a post office or UPS store and figure out your shipping options. You want to charge enough for shipping to cover the cost of shipping. You may wish to avoid selling large heavy objects.

If you are not an expert on the things you sell, you may wish to see what similar objects sell for. As you may have noticed, almost anything can be sold on E-bay, but if nobody is much interested, you may not get top dollar.

To find out how much an item is worth, look for similar items on closed auctions. If the item really has value, it will sell for a good price. Be absolutely honest about the description of the item, pointing out all it's flaws (if any). Take good pictures from multiple angles to show off the product. Ship as soon as you receive payment. Setting up a Paypal account is easy, but you must have a credit card to do so. Paypal makes it easy for your customers to pay you and it only costs you 2-3% of the transaction.

There are 2 things that help.
1. SMALLER COST MORE BUYERS
2. PEOPLE LIKE EASY

We have sold many things, software, computers, you name it. We have a 100% positive rating on ebay. We learned that the lower the cost of the item the more money you make.

You'll make more money selling something for $5 than if you had something for $20

For example you may not even sell the $20 item but you'll get like 30 people fast buying something at $5 (See site below for an example of what you can do if you get that site for $5).

The other thing we learned is people like simple.
They just want to click and pay. They don't want to waste more than 30 seconds of time. Notice how our site meets those 2 requirements. You can go to the site below and get it now. You'll make income and it's great practice for selling the big items later on.

Good luck on your progress

I can give you a link that deals with Payapl & Ebay transactions through Paypal. PayPal is one of the most popular online money transfer systems widely used for online auctions, pay to surf programs, e-books and purchase of low value goods. It is now a part of the online auction website eBay. More details available at

Way too complicated of a question. Read the zillion guides there are on eBay to answer stuff like this.
