Bell did have dyslexia.
Bell worked extensively with the deaf and developed visible speech...a way of writing down how words sound in order for the deaf to regain their power of speech.
Besides the telephone he made great strides in the study of genetics...he was particularly interested in breeding a breed of sheep that would always have twins.
He also developed a hydrofoil plane which he let his wife ( a former student of his) fly in, but he never flew himself.
The majority of his research was done on Cape Breton Island in the town of Baddeck...in fact he bought a large island in the Bras D'or Lakes that remains to this day private property of his descendants.

Alexander Graham Bell (March 3, 1847 – August 2, 1922) was a Scottish scientist and inventor who emigrated to Canada. Today, Bell is widely considered as one of the foremost developers of the telephone, together with Antonio Meucci, inventor of the first telephone prototype, and Philipp Reis. Six years after having obtained his telephone patent he became a naturalized citizen of the United States. In addition to Bell's work in telecommunications technology, he was responsible for important advances in aviation and hydrofoil technology.
Read the article for other inventions. The second web site confirms he had dyslexia.
