No, as far as our country misusing it I don't know of anywhere we are using it right now. The president told the people in katrina to get out and if they didn't they would then be under martial law warning them well ahead of time.

Just how do you propose to tell the Government it's can't call for Martial Law when it's needed ?

No, I don't. It does have it's uses. Unfortunately, the USA is horribly misusing it at this point. Martial Law was meant for emergencies, not takeovers.

I did not know it was ever in efffect, but I do feel the MCA is unconstititional and especially the part that gives the president to compromise habeas corpus protections. Thankfully they lost the house, Senate and will be gone in a few years. What next I wonder?
