you would feel ofended if you are of " X ? " country and they confuse you with a (Mexilegal) for your appearance and why?

If you are thinking of hiring this person, you are required to obtain proof of citizenship - a social security card and two forms of government identification. If the person is a non-USA citizen, the residency permit [called the "green card' though it hasn't been green for many years] also must be produced.

If you are not thinking of hiring the person, or dating him/her, it is none of your business.

I am concerned about your suggested profiling - I know a number of US citizens who wouldn't pass your blatantly racist criteria.

None of the above. It has to do with his immigration status. If he has a green card he is legal.
