Because, they want their children to be virgins for as long as possible. They think that if their children new that they didn't wait then their children will not respect them, and feel that if they could have sex before marriage then it is okay for them as well. Parents need to be honest, because kids are going to do what they want. Parents to be able to let their kids feel comfortable coming to them about sex questions. They should not act like it is an evil act, because it isn't in the right circumstances.

My parents had me when my mom was 18, a month later got married and I was their flower girl... I guess its because they don't want you to go out and do it.

to set a decent example. they love you and want you to know that you dont have to have sex before your married to protect you from many things.
