I have been considering try to join the Victorian Police force in Australia for some time but I have a full sleeve tattoo(from my wrist to my shoulder). Victorian police uniform is short sleeved shirts so my tattoo would be exposed.

Would I still be able to become a police officer or is their strict policy on tattoos that are very visible and what not?

I have never seen a police officer in Victoria with tattoos. But that is not to say that they have a strict policy of officers having tattoos.

You would be better getting an official response rather than conjecture.

Visible tattoos are becoming so commonplace now its becoming more of a discrimination issue. I personally feel that tattoos shouldn't disqualify someone from being hired at a police dept as long as the tattoos are tasteful

Usually many departments follow the policy that tattoos are not allowed if they are seen while wearing a Class A dress uniform.

I would imagine any tattoo cannot be visible as they're a reflection of a persons individuality which is supposed to be lost behind a uniform.

I'm not too sure.
I'm pretty sure you'd be allowed.
Another alternative is to get a long-sleeved shirt specially-made.
If you really want to do this, the very expensive and out-there idea is laser removal surgery..
