I'm getting something for a Senior, from a Sr. Center with a gift giving program at our Curves.

The person I picked has items on her "wish list" that include something Irish.

I have seen some sites that sell Irish themed gifts, but they're not necessarily made in or actually from Ireland. I would prefer to buy something actually from Ireland.

Otherwise, I'd like to make something with an Irish theme, like a food item or something.

Anyone Irish?

Probably the most Irish gift I can think of is a cladaugh. It is a ring that points away from the heart when they are single, and towards the heart when they are taken. It is a sacred heart symbol, that has been used in Ireland for centuries. I had one, and so did the women in our family, my Grandmother's maiden name was Kelly. They are relatively inexpesive and a wonderful Irish gift.

If you can afford it, try something Belleek- this is a nice china/porecelin pattern.

You can also get Irish Breakfast tea bags, put them in a basket with a nice mug, and maybe some shortbread cookies.

That's really sweet. Well, you could always get her a 4 leaf clover, or some irish soda bread, or some whiskey (they have some good irish whiskey at the state stores). Or check out irish stuff on ebay.
