As a child I was sexually abused by a bi-sexual man so I would think that if anyone has a reason to feel hatred it would be me. But I'm smart enough to know that 1 bad apple doesn't spoil the bunch. So why is it that people who have never had any contact with a gay person hate for the sake of hating & PLEASE don't use my God as an excuse.?

What might u do if a woman u weren't interested in asked u out? optimistically u'd with courtesy say "no", no longer shrink her throat. If some guy ask u out and ur no longer feeling it, pretend he's that female. whilst u say u could be a gay-hater, now your talking on a extra deeply psychological issue. there is not any reason to have deep seated matters with gays; this could factor to a pair matters ur wearing interior. there is something very incorrect with people who can not sit down next to a gay guy or woman, talk with a gay guy or woman or make informal lecture room, study-form or word-borrowing buddies with a gay guy or woman. Most are just happy to remain ignorant, accept what other ignorant people tell them, and will go through life with their eyes shut rather than risk finding out something that would require them to think through what they believe.
A few might have had a bad experience like yourself, and simply lack the mental or emotional capacity to realise that it was an individual who hurt them, not an entire group of unrelated people.
If they were capable of thinking the matter through, or inclined to take the trouble to, they would realise there is no logical justification for their blind prejudice, but it appears that few do.

Some ppl hide behind the bible because they have no other excuse for being a hateful bigot. The bible also says that if a woman's husband marries her and finds no proof of virginity then she is to be stoned. The bible also says to stone your whole family and your children if they do not believe in god. The bible also says to stone your children if they are stubborn. You can't pick and choose which rules you want to follow or not. They have no reason to hate gays, they are just small minded ignorant ppl.

I'm glad to hear you say that you are smart and would not judge and put labels like many of us do.
I have no idea why people hate gays and even less of an idea why people would use God as an excuse to hate a human being. God loves every one regardless, so who are we to judge any one because they are committing a sin, He doesn't' do it His LOVE is unconditional

It's simple really people fear the unknown, it's confusing and awkward to them so they have to try and knock it down to give themselves some peace of mind. It's all psychological.
The only way they 'change' really is through conditioning and if one of their own kids is gay, cuz obviously they either have to abandon that child or accept them as they are.
Also a lot of homophobes have internalzied homophobia ....in fact a lot of homophobes are gay themselves, which is sad.

I think that is why. If people don't actually know one in person they will probably believe what other people tell them about them. If you actually know one in person it is easier to see that a lot of things said about them by things such as (some) churches aren't true at all.

I hate the SIN.
I know people that USED to be gay.
One of them is a good friend of mine now and i even spend the weekend at his house sometimes im not afraid of anything hapining or the fact that he used to be gay.
Know why there not anymore, GOD SET THEM FREE.
Se homosexuality is a sin, its in the bible in lots of places and it even says why, its an abomanation to Him, gose agenst nature itself.
So whatever to saying I dont like gay people, there people, and like I said I know people that used to be and I know a few who are, but God still loves them and so do I, just like everyone else. Its Sin I hate.
