I have a 40 GB hard drive and only 7 GB of stuff on it. I have removed unwanted programs and files. Help.

Run scandisk. This is quite a common problem and scandisk usually makes windows report the correct disk space.

It's a simple awnser. Either your virtual paging file is too small, or you need more memory. I had the same problem, and when I went out and bought a 512 stick of ram, it quit telling me I had no disk space.

There may be many reasons for this problem. I can give you a link that deals with hard drive problems. Some RAM/hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful

If you`ve deleted what you can it might be a good idea to save anything else you need to another drive/dvd/external, then restore your factory settings. What is the name of your computer and which operating system?

Ok , well did you change the virtual mem and the cahe mem ?? If not take a look at it
