Most definitely punk rock. punk rock was for the youth of the day, the bands were accessible. The punk movement fought the establishment with angry music that upset the previous generations. The music was, and still is, raw and real.
Rock is glamorous but what was glamorous about living a crappy life in a small council house with no jobs and no future? Punk came, saw, destroyed and left the party with the house in a mess!!
If you were a teenager in 1976, you were about to take a ride on the most exciting roller coaster around, a roller coaster strictly for the youth, a roller coaster that would change the face of music forever.........welcome aboard the Punk revolution!!

its a fine line these days. most new ounk bands are rock bands (most will admit it too)
back in the day there was a very distinct line between the two.
but to answer the question both i love old school punk rock and a lot of new rock Bands are great

Depends on my mood. If I'm feeling really irritable then it's punk rock. If I'm happy or mellow it's Rock.
