I liked it, Daniel Craig was better than I expected, but I thought the movies was a bit too long

I liked it, only the second time I've been to see a Bond movie in the cinema, I find the whole sequence from Roger Moore through Pierce Brosnan pretty tedious, and thought this was a return to the days of Sean Connery when the franchise was adult oriented.
The card playing scene in the middle was too long but the opening chase through the building site was exciting, I recognised the pursued as the French exponent (inventor) of Free running and the whole sequence was origional. The collapsing building at the end was good as well, and some of the dialogue was more than a few quips, so I guess was lifted from the book, so many action films don't have any believable dialogue. On the whole I'd say worth seeing, and I wonder how they develop the next one.

I have just return from the cinema after seeing this film and was having a conversation with my partner on the way home about it. To say its suppose to be based on the first Casino Royale, its got a lot of (not mistakes as such ) but crap. M did not change to a women until Goldeneye and the 9/11 was mentioned. The car chases that are normally in the Bond movies are more frequent than in this film and he wrote his car off on the chase. It was a good action movie but a crap Bond film.

Absolutely loved it.
Not a Bond film in the traditional mode but was excellent.
Gritty and vicious. I think that to do the film justice it could only have been made in today's market both from the perspective of the violence and the poker aspect of the film. If it had been made in the '60's I doubt it would have been as good.
Daniel Craig I had my reservations about but gave the man his chance and he pulled it off admirably. I loved Vesper too, :-)

Loved it ....loved it....LOVED IT. By a mile, the best bond movie. Bond,,,grown up, more savage. I kinda get the feeling that the females like it more than the males? My husband can't make his mind up, when i asked him he said "so so". i suspect he was missing the gadgets and the non hammy acting. Oh...and girls....at last we get an 'emerging from the sea' clip !!

I don't know about the new one, but I watched the original at the weekend with Peter Sellers. I'm not into new versions. The originals are always the best.
