Can anyone help me learn how to just cassual dance, I really dont wanna look like and idiot in front of my gf.

OH! Go watch the movie Hitch. w/ Will Smith....he gives good tips about dancing.

You kids are at such a disadvantage. Back in the days there was American Band Stand. Several generations learned to do freestyle moves by watching that show.
The only thing left today is Soul Train (watch that at least,) even if there really is not all that much dancing there anymore. Then try to find a school that teaches freestyle or hip hop.

The ladies seem to discount the power of the male ego. If you can afford to, take some private lessons. It won't take long to get past the initial embarassment, and then you can re-assess how good you want to be.

You really need to find your own style. get a long mirror and practice! my ex boyfriend couldnt dance and it didnt bother me one bit.
