What are some ways the US Constitution helped cause the Civil War? Please give specific examples.

" All men are created equal",that part of the Constitution definitely must have caused a problem with the Southern Black slaves and their owners!!!

the constitution really didnt have any thing to do with the civil war ok this is what happened: southerners werent happy that the northerners wanted to end slavery so the south decided to go into succession (they didnt want to be part of the union anymore s they became their own country) the south or the confederacy secceded because they were pro slavery the north or the union was anti slavery one day they just snapped and declared war

For one thing, it did not address the issue of slavery--it left it as a completely open question, to be settled at a later date.
