ou should have an anti-spyware solution on your computer. I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.

This double whammy will help keep you safe and running faster

In general, popup blockers don't help too much when the threat is already inside your computer. Spybot RIPS them out and protects your registry. Ad-aware RIPS them out and scans for files that are a known threat.

By the way, you might also want to update and run your Anti-virus program.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

You have a Smitfraud infection. It usually requires a specialized removal procedure and removal tools. Here are 2 links for information and free removal software.

Unfortunately, new variants of this pest seem to be launched every few days, so the removal information that I gave you is always playing "catch-up". If the procedure won't work for you, keep checking back to the sites I gave you. If a few days they may have updated the procedure and/or tools.
Good luck.

Have you used spyware and adware software, such as Spybot and Ad-Aware? If not, each of those are free programs that are pretty good.

Doing a little bit of research, virusburst seems to be a spyware cleaner itself! An interesting bit of irony that it would be included with spyware.

Download Mozilla Firefox, its free. It blocks most pop ups; I haven't had any since I have begun using it.
I noticed someone suggested Spybot, but my personal favorite is Adaware, which can also be downloaded for free. Either are good, but DON'T download both of them!! Neither will work right!
Look on Major Geek.com, you can find all kinds of free protective agents there.
