It wasn't Arthur Anderson himself that got in trouble. Mainly because he died about 60 years agoin 1947 I think. THe firm is currently owned and operated by dozens of "partners". They are more like shareholders than a real partnership.

In any case the Arthur Anderson/Enron scandal brought about a set of laws known as the Sarbannes-Oxley Act. This is an act that required certain publically traded companies to take greater care in correcting accounting errors in the books and records. THis is oversimplified but nonetheless that is the basis of the Act.

However the firm is in deep trouble and is barely operating right now. Please see the attached link for information.
