Not really, I live in Vicenza, about 45 minutes from Venice. Almost all Italians have blinds but they are heavy metal and block out all light when lowered. They are not the type of blinds I would call typical 'venetian blinds' in the States but they are useful when you want to lock up you house or keep out the light during the day. But I actually thought about that the other day....Why do we call them 'venitian blinds' when they don't have them in Venice?
