I admit that I really don't know much about him...

I just know I don't want any Rockefeller in charge of any committee much less this one...

Geez, I am becoming such a conspiracy theorist....

Seriously, is it time we get rid of all these 'career politicians'?

Is getting rid of incumbents the only way we are ever going to even get started making our government honest?

By the time that they have reached congress all politicians are career politicians, however I think in order to change things we would have to take the money out of it and that will never happen. When was the last time a regular person from down the block, someone with just common sense has been elected to anything, it is sort of money talks and well you know walks. It is a shame really that the government could not be made up with ordinary citizens such as farmers and school teachers and maybe a fireman and a policeman. But the money issue is always in the way with this. I think the best way is to make the people who represent us accountable for their decisions.

You are wising up.
Jay Rockefeller is a back-stabber. He got caught doing some very unethical things while on the Intelligence Committee.
He also got caught lying.
If he hadn't been a Democrat, he would have had to resign.
It's a sad day that he will be in charge of the Committee.

As someone said we have the best government money can buy. Until we can prevent that, there is little we can do to stop the Rockefellers, the Rothschilds, and the Bushes from manipulating our country, its agenda, and us. We are to blame for sleepiing while all this happened. We outnumber them by 299,000,000 to their few thousand. If we want it back from them, we are going to have to get together to do it. So far, there are not enough people like you willing to acknowledge the problem, let alone do anything about it. We have been successfully made to feel powerless and disconnected so we won't. It is time we change that.
