In my sons's high school, they do random drug testing of all the students. Parents have to give consent. I love this idea but some parents hate it. They feel if their child tests positive then he or she will be expelled. The way I look at it is expulsion is not as bad as a drug habit. The kids do not get expelled only the parents are notified of the problem. This gives parents a chance to work on their children.
Steroids are also bad for health plus I agree with the other reader that its not fair to the athletes who are not juicing.

absolutely... It's not fair to the kids who aren't juicing or using drugs. Our local high school had this game this year against some kids that had arm muscles the size of most peoples thighs, we had 6 kids hurt during this game. And 3 needed surgery that ended their footbally days forever. It's not fair to those who obey the rules to lose their chances to play because kids who juice are injuring them.

Regulating agencies have rules about drug use...if athletes are not tested at their schools, their teams could be disqualified in competitions.
