I know that you don't have to pay a monthly fee, but I heard you have to pay for patches. Is this true? If so, do you HAVE to buy the patches?

not at all. the patches are completely free, the only thing you have to pay for is the game itself and any additional chapter (such as nightfal or factions) that you want.

i dont have guild wars but i dont rekon thts true, having to pay for patches is as good as having a monthly fee so i doubt it.

it says it is free but wen u get to the website it says to buy G.W. then u can play so i wudent buy it get a 360 and get COD3 and play LIVE

you dont HAVE to but anything once u buy the original game...u can buy the expansion thingys once u are done with what you have just to give you more to do if u want...
