By mixing water with power steering fluid it will cause the power steering fluid to loose it lubricating and hydraulic ability's. So what will happen is that the power steering system will destroy its self and it will cost you a lot of money. Go to mechanic and have the system flushed out ASAP!

You will burn out the bearings in the power steering pump and contaminate the steering box and it will wear out as well.

I would flush it out quickly it should not do any immediate harm. If it was a very small amount and you haven't started the car yet you could push a rag into the reservoir to absorb it.

the fluid is ther because it won't heat up and evaporate. but water will. Cooking oil would be better than water

why dont you put water in it and see for yourself
you will find out real quickly that a hydraulic pump does not like water and will lock up in short order

probably won't ruin it but it wont help it, you'll probably start to hear screeching noises when you turn the wheel, or at worst you'll ruin your power steering pump
