There have been a number of fatal shooting by police officers, shooting unarmed black people which will probably be covered up and not investigated. RACISM is alive and well!

I'm guessing you're black. First, I'd let go of the labels. Blacks have unfortunately been labeled negatively (I bet you can think of a few) and it gets in the way of rational thinking.
Blacks, whites, all Americans are Americans, and there is a basic call to duty. And the military have traditionally been ahead of society in general in race relations. It's a great way for blacks to advance themselves in a color-blind society. This is why the percentage of blacks in the military is traditionally above that in the general population in the volunteer army. Your subtext reminds me of the arguments that were out there in the Viet Nam era, but the modern army is nothing like that one. These youngsters are smarter and healthier than the general populace. They're making a patriotic and intelligent choice.
