De-Solved It is an awesome product. Scented with orange, removes adhesive, tar, crayons, ink, anything pretty mcuh you can dream up. I just wouldn't recommend using it on any type of fabric because it is oil based like Wd-40. De-Solved-It is also all environmentl friendly ingredients. I buy mine at my local grocery store; Giant Egale and you may eb able to find it at other stores. The other ideas sound like they'd work as well, such as Wd-40 and alcohol. Although I don't know if I'd like the smell of WD-40 and alcohol is harsh on the skin...very drying. Although, it's only to remove adhesive from a dish, so I doubt your hands would be in it long enough to actually do any real drying out.

I think the strong lemon/orange oil type of cleaners will work (straight up, not diluted). I've also heard of using WD-40 as the others say, but haven't tried it. I've had reasonable luck with 91% isopropyl alcohol, so that or some Everclear might work for you (at least you can drink the Everclear if it doesn't work as a cleaning agent).

Put some washing up liquid on the sticky bit then cover with cling film for a while, sticker will peel right off.

Goo Gone or WD 40 should work for ya, and if you don't have that around use very hot water with dishwashing liquid. But the best is the Goo Gone way.

Goo-gone. You can buy it at Wal-Mart, it rocks! It's what we used at the coffee shop to get the stickers off the bottom of the mugs.

peanut butter. It has just the right amount of oil to penetrate, and also the slight abrasion that gets rid of the stickies
