there are no nerves in the actual hair or nails it is all dead. It hurts when you pull hair/ break the nail, because the nerves are at the root / nail bed.

Hair is just dead cells. Nails are the same thing but harder, but only in the front. That's why your nails are white on a little portion in the back. If you cut that, it'll hurt. Your welcome. Good question.

Because it's not actual skin and connected to us. We shed our hair like crazy so it's like waste material.
