ive been best friends with this guy for 2 yrs and even though we like each other were not together. when we met i was dating someone, and then when i broke up with my boyfriend he found a girlfriend. she broke up with him a couple months ago (he fell hard for her) so now he doesnt want to date any girl. is it possible that he still has feelings for me even though he still has feelings for his ex? i know i had feelings for him even though i was with someone else.

No one will be able to answer this question for you. The only way you will know this answer for sure is to ask him. You'll know when the time is right.

People will tell you different stories how friendships have turned to relationships or to nothing at all... The only way you will know about your situation is to find out for yourself...

Good luck to you!

I have an amazing male best friend. I did like him when I first met him and he really liked me but he took too long to tell me his feelings and when he finally did my feelings for him had changed into more of a brother sister kinda thing. I think there is a point when you get so use to thinking of a person in one way that it's just hard to think of them in another. I couldn't imagine being with him even though he really wants to be with me I think it would ruin our friendship.

I do think that in most male female friendships one of the two likes the other.

It could be the approach-avoidance dynamic. That happens when two people are attracted to each other, but can't tolerate the intimacy when they come close to really being together.

They "take turns" pulling away from each other. Then, about the time the one who has turned away starts coming back, the other one then pulls away. They go back and forth like this because they each have reasons they may not even be aware of that cause them to avoid intimacy.

You just have to wait a proper moment and talk with him openly.
