So far we've seen no verifiable evidence of other sentient species. That said, I believe with some certainty that somewhere in our galaxy at some past, present, or future time, a sentient species did/does/will exist.
Why haven't we heard from them?
Perhaps they are not technologically advanced enough to be heard. They may be mastering stone knives right now, or experiencing their own Rennaisance.
Perhaps they are here right now. Any species sufficiently advanced to travel interstellar distances would be able to hide or masquerade with ease. That Boeing 737 that just flew by may be a surveillance craft.
Perhaps they are so far away they will never notice us and vice versa.
Perhaps they existed a million years ago and died out.
Perhaps they will exist a million years from now.
It is really impossible to know for sure.
The Drake Equation suggests that there is sentient life out there. The Fermi Paradox casts doubt. Play around with the calculation form at the second link and see what you think.

Well, it is what you define by aliens. If you define it by green men who have legs like we have then your answer is no. No one has ever proofed the existence of extra terrestrials. Till then, you could assume that there are no aliens on our planet.
But your answer could be yes too. Earth get hit by meteors from outer space. There could be some organism on this 'rock out of space' that survived on our planet. But then expect bacteria instead of green men. Evolution could develop a more complex alien. This could even be the reason why we exist. :)

No, I don't believe there are aliens walking among us. I am open however to the possibility that there are aliens...other beings out in space somewhere...far, far, far, far away. Watched? Of course we're being watched. It's not by aliens though. It's called home.land.security...U.S.A, and the such....that and God.

I doubt it, why would they come here. Our planet isn't all that interesting.
Maybe the so called alien reports we hear about are actually highly evolved humans from the future who are coming back in time in order to study earlier evolutionary forms to help combat a plague in their time, lol.

sure. every time you flow to a diverse united states of america or flow right into a diverse racial, ethnic, or way of existence team you grow to be an alien. this is why they're referred to as "unlawful extraterrestrial beings," no longer "unlawful human beings-we-recognize."
