There is no reason to be scared. It is not uncommon for people to hurt themselves, and go visit the doctor later when things don't get better. There is no problem with just getting it checked - it might be something that won't heal by itself. Try to convince her that it is worth her health just to make sure everything is OK.

It would usually heal by itself as long as there is no infection, bones heal on there own but not as cleanly and as straight as it would with a cast done in a hospital. The bone needs to be aligned for healing...the body heals it not the hospital.. they just make sure everything is ok and straight.

she needs to see the doctor she may need surgery if she went years then the bone would heal itself it would fill in where the break or fracture was may grow crooked and develop arthritis in it but in her case they can still help her Tell her to go it might be just a fracture. if it was a major break believe me she would have not waited 3 weeks.

Ouch, you could have it heal on it's own but it will not heal properly without being brased. It could be a very bad sprain to a pulled or torn ligament...PLEASE let you mom know that we all hope that she seeks medical attention...People of different ages heal differently also., and that it is also easier for them to break or hurt a part of the body. .It is safer to to have it checked out than to be in years of pain if it is something serious that could be fixed....At least you guys will know..Smiles

Are you particular it rather is broken? Is it swollen with bruising (yellow-eco-friendly shade)? are you able to progression/bend that knee in any respect? you will have sprained it. i might get it checked for particular via a doctor, inspite of the undeniable fact that. Edit: believe me, you would recognize for particular if it rather is broken or no longer. The soreness may be very excruciating so which you could flow by any ability.

It WILL heal by itself ... the wrong way! A broken bone must be X-rayed and set properly so it doesn't heal fused and inoperable! Please, tell her to get to a doctor or her arm may be unbendable in a few years!
