~Kirarin Revolution- About a young pure hearted girl who strives to be an idol because of love for one of SHIPS members (ships is a pop group) hardships like evil rivals, singing out of tune, and cooking are some of the things Kirarin will go through!~
~Ijiwaru Love Devil- a demon named jyan(disguised as human) is hit by a truck. he is hurt bad so he needs another body to be in, he finds a teddy bear... later a girl named Yui is happy to find that her father brought her home a teddy bear, it turns out it is possesed by a demon! their relationship grow more everyday since that first meeting.
~Otona ni Nuts- A young tomboy girl wish to be beautiful and sexy like older girls, and eats what she thought was normal peanuts, then when she wake up she becomes what she wishes for.
~Kaichou wa Maid sama- Misaki, high school student coucil president, has a tough strict attitude and boys are all scared of her, no guy ever impressed her.. But she has a dark secret, she works as a sweet maid in a maid cafe! Takumi kun(goes to the same school) is not interested in girls, but one day he finds out Misaki's dark secret and grows interest on her.
~Ojousama no Inu- it is a collection of short stories about young girls being boss of guys. my favorite one is about Seren, a rich, spoiled, angelic looking girl and Shingo, a guy who finds work as a servant for Seren, he found her sweet looking and innocent, so he is excited for his new job.. It turns out Seren is a naughty girl and plays awful tricks on Shingo. Will she ever return the same love?
~Shinobi Life- Kagetora, a ninja who swears to protect a princess named Beni is thrown into a lake after an attack, he sinks to the bottom and passes through a portal to the future, he falls from the sky and falls right on top of Beni(the future version of the princess) and is convinced that she IS the princess.. Life is hard for him in the future, but he tries his best to protect Beni and follows her everywhere, even in school!(Kagetora is too handsome! X3)
Shimotsuma Monogatari- is a story about a lolita named Momoko and a yankii named Ichigo(she change her name to Ichiko so it wont be too "girly" because she is in a bike gang) at first Momoko wants to get away from Ichiko, becaus she only cares about herself and wants to just be alone, later, she learns how to care for other people too. Ichiko, even she is rowdy, she still has a good heart, and she is the one who teaches Momoko how to care.
~NANA- a story about two girls with the same name(Nana), the same age, who meet in the bullet train going to Tokyo, they are both new to Tokyo, new to the city life, when they finally reach Tokyo, they separate and thought that they will never see each other again but end up sharing room 707(nana zero nana) in a nice old apartment after all.( Later, Komatsu Nana is nicknamed Hachiko). Since then they help each other with their own hardships, and become the best of friends.

Shojo in japanese means maiden and Shonen means boy, if you were wondering...
If I had to suggest manga I would say one piece, bleach, black cat, or death note. The animes for one piece and bleach are terrible though.
One piece- A pirate adventure with devil fruit and a weird and funny main character
Bleach- A manga about a teenage boy that has bleached hair and gets powers from a soul reaper to slay lost souls. He gets an awesome sword and there are many great battles. *One of my favorites.
Black Cat- A manga about an Assassin, Train, that is running away from his dark past. He teams up with Sven and Eve (a deadly weapon in the form of a little girl) to stop the organization he was past in.
Death note- A manga about a boy that finds a book that when you write the persons name in it they die. A very interesting story.
If you want a weird and twisted girl kind of manga then you would probably want Chobits or Fruits basket.
Fruits Basket- A story about the Zodiac animals. There are curtain people that turn into these animals when they are hugged by the people of the other gender. Not actioned styled, but more humorous if you like the funny faces they make.
I haven't really read Chobits, so I can't really tell you whatit is about, but many people love this manga, but beware, I heard it is kind of perverted.

Yes, InuYasha and Naruto are really good. They're some of my favorites. And you can't pry me away from Naruto.
Zombie Powder is EXCELLENT. Yea, I thought it sounded stupid at first but I read the first couple of chapters in Shounen Jump Magazine and I had to buy the manga. I'm pretty sure there are only four volumes out. It's by Tite Kubo, the same author as Bleach (which is also really good). I've only read a little of Nana out of Shojo Beat, but what I did read was really good. I can't really think of any other Shojo, I'm not really into it....

Demon Diary is a very, very sweet shojo manga. The art is detailed and the story is beautiful. The paneling is not confusing, either. It's only seven volumes too- not too long and not too short. It's got a bit of humor, and it's very cute.

Nana is about friendship of two women, same age and same name who moved to Tokyo in search of opportunities. One of the best.
Paradise Kiss was from the same author as Nana (Ai Yazawa), and was about fashion. The main character was a girl bored of her life. When she met a group of students wanting to become fashion designers, her life tooks a change in direction.
Confidential Confessions was a manga series of short stories by Reiko Momochi.
Full Moon wo Sagashite was about a girl, who wanted to become a singer, but had throat cancer. One day she met a few beings who would make her dream come true....
Karin was a nice twist on the vampire genre.
Ayashi no Ceres by Yu Watase was based on a well-known folklore.
Cardcaptor Sakura by CLAMP is also popular.
Tokyo Mewmew focuses on the battles Ichigo and her friends fought to help save the earth, and how the DNA injection affected her body. Magical Girl genre.
Honey & Clover, Boys over Flowers/Hana yori Danga and Kare Kano are also recommanded.
